Just as the holiday weekend began, news broke that Gil Scott-Heron had died. I haven’t posted anything yet because I didn’t know what to say because there was too much to say. Heron’s legacy is an impressive, important, and awing one, and in this recent collaboration with Jamie XX it shows that Heron was still as progressive, forward thinking, and talented as ever.
