Photographer Tyler Shields thinks domestic violence is sexy and edgy.  Hmmm.  Not so much.  And he’s not even being original, since fashion loves to portray battered women.  Tyler’s defense, “In no way were we promoting domestic violence.  We wanted to do a bruised-up Barbie shoot and that’s exactly what we did!”  So in other words, he wanted to use a steretypical, heteronormative image of oppressed female sexuality and then further abuse it, not to be subversive, but because it’s fun!!!
